Access Accountancy
Established in 2014, this charity works to ensure its signatory organisations collaborate and feel supported in order to commit to a series of milestones. These milestones provide stepping stones to help a variety of employers increase the volume, scope and quality of activity to break down barriers and improve access to, and progression within, the accountancy profession for young people.
A part of this commitment is a pledge to offer work experience opportunities to students who are from a low socio-economic background. Since 2014, Access Accountancy signatories have provided placements to more than 4,561 candidates.
If you are an organisation with accountants, and aren’t sure how to get started with improving social mobility at your company, please get in touch. Working together is key for making a real change in this space and Access Accountancy is ready to help you on your journey.

However, with each part of the UK having an individual identity, history and economy, impacting its local population and their opportunities, the challenges to social mobility, and the solutions, may differ from region to region.
That’s where we think the use of our new #Data Explorer tool can help – join us at this event on 7 June at 12pm for employers to find out how you can utilise our new tool to understand your workforce distribution; provide insight for outreach activity and hiring activity; and to serve and support regional communities.
